Rails for React Native: a command-line tool, rn, that generates a cross-platform Expo app for iOS, Android and the web with the decisions already made. A new app comes with email and Google sign-in, a theme driven by design tokens, unit and component tests, and a passing CI pipeline. Inside the app, rn generate scaffolds screens, components and hooks along with their tests.
Every generated app is built around three swappable seams. Authentication sits behind a single adapter interface, all styling flows from one tokens file, and the CI stages are plain shell scripts that any CI system can run.
It is an early pre-alpha release, published on npm.
Try it
npx rails-native new myapp --mock
The --mock flag uses an offline sign-in adapter, so you can try it without setting up a backend.
